Opening of university residences for the academic year 2020/2021
The community which is formed in a university residence at the beginning of each academic year represents a heterogeneous reality of people with different cultures all having the same common goal: the achievement of the university degree.
Aliseo works to offer you the necessary services to spend a peaceful stay in the Ligurian capital. In this period of health emergency and until the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, our commitment is to protect your health by following the instructions given to us by the Italian Government and the Ligurian Region.
During the summer period, we worked to sanitise the Residences and prepare them to welcome you according to what the Ministry of Health and the competent safety bodies have established as necessary for the reopening of the university residences. Aliseo has prepared provisions to counteract and contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the university residences, and every student who is assigned will be required to observe them scrupulously.
Before entering a residence
The Italian Government, in order to deal with the Covid-19 emergency, has issued provisions regarding the entrance in Italy from abroad, according to which persons returning from certain countries are subject to a 14-days self-isolation period. Access to Italy is forbidden from certain countries, while from others it is compulsory to carry out a check-up swab.
We invite you to check through the anonymous questionnaire prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which are the obligations you must comply with according to your country of origin.
If you want to know more, you can consult the following web page of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is continuously updated:
In any case, you must inform us of your arrival at least 3 days before the date of your return to your residence and of your country of origin by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org in order to agree on how to return. Documents to be shown when you first enter the university residences
- Upon entering the university residence, the student must sign the self-declaration relating to entry into the residence and, if coming from a country where self-isolation is required, also Annex A.
- If the student is a citizen of a non-EU country, in order to be able to return to the residence he/she must show his/her passport, in order to allow us to verify the dates of departure from abroad and arrival in Italy. For people whose entry into Italy is not subject to the possession of a passport, the date of arrival in Italy is presumed to be the date of presentation in residence, unless a different one is documented.
- For your and your companions’ protection, at the time of entry you must be in possession of a certificate of virus negativity (swab or serological) carried out in Italy no later than 72 hours before the day of entry. For those who have difficulty in obtaining the certificate, Aliseo gives the possibility to carry out the serological test free of charge before entering the residence at our facilities: in this case the student concerned must inform us by e-mail of the request to carry out the test and Aliseo will indicate the place and time of the appointment for the test. The certificate will be issued on the same day of the test.
All students will have to sign the Provisions for university residences and the Provisions for fithing and containing the spread of the Covid-19 virus in Aliseo’s university residences and their willingness to share the internal spaces with other students.
PLEASE NOTE: No student may enter the residences without the required documents.
