University Scholarship
The Scholarship constitutes the fundamental direct intervention of the Right to University Education in implementation of the art. 34 of the Italian Constitution.
The Scholarship is granted to students enrolled at the University of Genoa and to the Institutions for Higher Education in Art and Music with headquarters in Liguria for the achievement of the first title for each level of study, as well as doctorate research courses and specialization schools with the exception of those in the medical area referred to in Legislative Decree 17/8/1999 n. 368.
To apply for a scholarship, the student, if in possession of the requisite of merit and income, must submit the application every academic year within the terms provided for in the competition announcement.
More favorable evaluation criteria are applied to disabled students with a disability rating of 66% or more

The total annual amount of the scholarship is established by the d.P.C.M. 9 April 2001, by the decree of the Ministry of University and Research 17 December 2021, n. 1320 and is revalued annually based on the ISTAT indices; it consists of a part in cash and a part in services such as canteen and accommodation.
The service fee entails the fruition of a free daily meal at the Agency’s catering points and, for “off-site” students, who expressly request it, free accommodation at the ALiSEO Residences.
The amount of the scholarships is diversified according to the University Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator (ISEE which applies to the subsidized benefits for the right to university study) of the student’s family unit and to the status of student: “off-site”, “in-site” or “commuting”.

Students eligible for the scholarship (students who meet the requirements for a scholarship) are entitled to exemption from the payment of fees due to the University of Genoa or the AFAM Institutions and the regional tax for the right to university education.
The amount of the scholarship can be integrated to students:
- who are admitted by the University of Genoa or by the Ligurian AFAM Institutions to participate in the international mobility program;
- with recognition of handicap pursuant to art. 3 paragraph 1 of the law n. 104/1992 or with disability equal to or greater than 66%;
- who obtain the degree title within the terms and duration provided for by the respective didactic regulations (degree award);
- whose economic situation has worsened compared to the declaration presented at the time of the request for benefits;
- with ISEEU / ISEEUP lower than or equal to 50% of the maximum reference limit;
- enrolled in study courses in S.T.E.M. (defined by the MUR) with reference to female students only;
- simultaneously enrolled in several courses of study.
Online applications can be submitted from 10 June to 31 July 2024.
Foreign students first year a.a. 2024/2025
Foreign students, enrolled at the University of Genoa can participate in the awarding of a scholarship by submitting an on-line application within the established deadlines and the criteria set for the public exam, foreign, stateless and political refugees.
Pay attention:
Students who are in debt to ALiSEO cannot apply for scholarships, unless ALiSEO has already agreed with them the relevant repayment plans, duly repaid as scheduled.
Students are advised that for A.Y. 2024/2025, it is not possible to pre-register for programmed number courses, as the call for applications has not yet been published by UNIGE; however, it is possible to apply for ALiSEO benefits by sending an email to: borsestudio@aliseo.liguria.it
In the said email, surnam, first name and the porgrammed number course for which you intend to pre-registre must be inicated. ALiSEO will provide the credentials to make the application for the benefits.
